The
Canadian born singer, Melissa Walker, at first wanted to pursue a career in
law, but after
college she gave up her legal career to follow her real vocation -
jazz-singing. In 1990
she made her first public appearance and in 1993 Walker moved to New York where she
played clubs like "Iridium", "Visions" or "Birdland" her second
home. That same year she self-produced her first album "Little Wishes". In 1997
she signed with ENJA Records. Her debut release with this company "May I Feel"
brought her internationally critical acclaim. The follow-up CD "Moment of Truth"
was released in 1999 and was followed in 2001 with "I Saw the
Sky.
