Martin
Taylor first came to prominence in 1978 when Stephane Grappelli invited him to join his
band and take the vacant seat as guitarist that was before inhabited by the great Django
Reinhardt. The collaboration lasted 11 years and led Martin on tours throughout the world.
He then went on concentrating on his own career with an exclusive recording deal with Linn
Records that resulted in 6 albums so far. In 1994 he formed his group "Martin
Taylor´s Spirit of Django" that received great critical acclaim. In the meantime his
solo-work has also gained him a lot of fans throughout the world.
