David Sanchez started playing the saxophone at age 12. His earliest influences were afro-caribbean and latin music, soon after he was grabbed by the sounds of Miles and Coltrane. In 1992 he came to the attention of the late Dizzy Gillespie who engaged him for his United Nations Orchestra. Dizzy became one of the strongest influences for David. Since 1995 he is a Sony recording artist. |
